The Survivors Incentive Pinup - Anahera

I made an art! Don't all die of shock simultaneously, now.

Anahera Parata is one of the characters from my upcoming novel, The Survivors Book I: Summer. She is one of the most powerful women in the series despite coming from a background as a school teacher before the decline of society. She is strong-willed, intelligent, fiesty and unabashedly sexy, but refuses to take another man since the plague claimed her husband and the love of her life.

Now, she lives for the sake of her one surviving son, Hemi, and has made it her life's mission to preserve the traditions of her ancestors even in the face of humanity's extinction event. Anahera is full-blooded Maori and proudly wears a moko (a tattoo) on her chin. Although she has a group of her own that she leads, she becomes close friends with the main character's group after the main character saves her son's life.

Eventually, Anahera forms a bond with the heroine that's almost like a mother/daughter relationship, though she isn't actually old enough to be Sandrine's mother. It's an emotional bond - Sandy admires her and looks up to her.

Art note: This was a very small sketch, so she looks a little young at the moment. I'll be digitally aging her as I work through the process of inking and colouring the pinup.
